Dan Criss has been racing since 1998 at Waterford Hills.  In 1998 he drove in the SCCA Central Division championship securing 2nd place.  He has since driven exclusively at Waterford Hills.

Dan and Jim met in the spring of 2005 and immediately hit it off with their love of cars and guitars.  When Jim was unable to drive in the Waterford Hills racing events, he asked Dan to drive his Mustang.  Dan performed brilliantly and secured 2nd place.

Jim (as well as others) admired Dan's talent in playing guitars.  Dan has played with George Benson and has served as the rehearsal and sound staging guitar player for Earl Klugh.

He is employed as a Ride Engineer for COFAP Automotive Suspension and test drives

prototype cars.

Vaughan Scott has joined the Racing4Jim.com team as a secondary driver.  In the event Dan is unable to race, Vaughan has stated that he would be honored to run his car in Jim's name.  In this instance, points earned by Vaughan will be counted toward the point total.

Vaughan has a personal connection as well:

his wife Merritt lost her father (a former Waterford racer) to lung cancer in 1999.

Vaughan began racing in 2000 after building his first racecar, the #77 White/Blue Porsche 924 he still races today. Through the years since,
both Vaughan and his car have worked steadily to improve, winding up a close second in Waterford’s 2005 ITB Championship.

The love of cars extends to Vaughan's job.  Like Dan, he also is involved in the day-to-day R+D of the automotive industry as a stability controls
engineer for Bosch, testing and tuning prototypes. For fun, he collects and restores 924's, and enjoys playing hockey and hiking.

Vaughan and Merritt live in Royal Oak with three cats and a Doberman Pinscher, Babylon, who often accompanies the team to the track

(as Team Head of Security).
